Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of cars do you help with?

I am a specialist with all Domestic brands as that was what I sold for over 30 years. GM/Ford/Chrysler-all of the brands associated with each. However, I also have access through my dealership network of many foreign brands, including Honda, Subaru, Toyota, Nissan, Kia, Hyundai, Mazda, Mercedes, BMW, Audi, and others. If I can’t help you save money over you going straight to the dealer- I will let you know right up front.

How much does it cost to use your service?

My services are included in the price that I offer to all of my customers. I am paid by the dealership to arrange my customers to buy their cars from our dealership network.

Can you get me a cheap car?

While there are always exceptions, most of the used car models available through my dealership network start at $10,000 or more.

How do you save me money?

There are so many ways that I help my clients save money over a traditional dealership experience.

1. You pay less for the car through me rather than at the dealership.
2. Your financing rates (and payments) are lower because I do not mark up the rates.  That is something that most dealers do as a matter of business practice.
3. I pay you more for your trade-in. It’s one of the biggest profit centers for dealerships. They ALWAYS offer you less than the car is worth and hope that you just agree on the value.
4. The fees charged by dealers in Florida are a result of the State giving them the right to charge you more than is appropriate and allowed in other states. I source cars from dealers whose fees are significantly less.  Therefore, even if I have to ship the car to Florida from the North East, the cost of shipping is negated by our reduced fees.
5. Any additional products that you purchase from the dealer are usually marked up substantially- that’s where all the additional profit for them comes from you.  I discount,  and in many cases, discourage the purchase of unnecessary “after sale” items.
6. In Florida, dealerships are required to sell extended warranty at the stated MSRP of the plan.  I discount all of those products- with savings into the thousands on just warranties alone!

Is the car guaranteed to work?

All new and used cars come with warranties. The difference between buying a car from PGCC than from a dealership is that most dealerships today are owned by people or companies not located within the community. As a result, the management is tasked to make as much money as possible- and that results in a great deal for the dealership, but not the customer.

How do you make money? (are there any fees?)

I am paid by the dealership that sells the car- not by the client.

What if I have problems with my new car?

For new cars, all dealerships have service departments that service their brands under a new car warranty policy. Dealerships in Florida see so many customers from out of the area, due to the seasonal and tourist based area that we live in that there is usually NO issue getting a car serviced, no matter where it has been purchased.

What if I don’t like my new car?

As with any dealership, you would have to decide to trade it in. While this rarely
happens, I have helped many customers navigate the process with less tension and cost than at a dealership.

Can you help me with financing?

Through the dealership networks I work with, PGCC has access to almost every major and many local market banks. I have several credit unions and even a private mechanism of financing cars for those that are credit challenged.

Although there are always exceptions due to the client’s credit history where it is impossible to get credit arranged, it is fair to say that if I can’t get it done then few others could!

How can I be sure I get the car I want?

At PGCC, I  spend all the time with my customers, one on one. After 35 years, this process generates savings for you and sales for me. It’s this simple:  I will only take part in a deal that makes sense for you and results in you saving money and time.

Then all I ask is that you tell everyone you know about me!
